BBM will soon come preinstalled on a variety of Android-based smartphones from leading OEMs across Africa, India, Indonesia, Latin America and the Middle East according to a press release by Blackberry. Beginning next month, Android smartphones from Be, Brightstar, Celkon, EVERCOSS, IMO, Micromax, Mito, Snexian, Spice, TECNO, TiPhone and Zen will include BBM preinstalled.
For customers already using TECNO Android phones, BBM will also continue to be available as a free download from Android app stores, including Google Play. This simply means that if you buy an Android Tecno phone and can’t find BBM on it, you can still download it for free from Google Play provided the smartphone runs on Android 4.0 upward.
Having the Blackberry Messenger pre-installed on your Tecno phone will give you quick access to the messenger on your smartphone, thereby letting you connect to family and friends without having to go through the stress of downloading the chatting app from Google Play.
Phantom A3 will be the first Android Tecno phone that will be released after this new agreement between Tecno Mobile and Blackberry. Hopefully, it will come preloaded with BBM. Tecno phones that will be released after the Phantom A111 will also come preloaded with the Blackberry Messenger.
