Samsung Galaxy S8 Could Be The Fastest Android Phone Ever

The Samsung Galaxy S8 looks set to be one of the speediest Android smartphones on record thanks to an agreement the company has reportedly secured to power the device.Reports from Forbes have claimed that Samsung has struck a deal with Qualcomm to use the company’s entire stock of its most recent Snapdragon 835 processors.

The Snapdragon 835 looks set to be the most powerful mobile processor released to date, meaning that any device featuring the chip will feature highly on the hardware scale. The device is also set to sport a whopping 6GB of RAM, which along with the Snapdragon 835 should mean that the Galaxy S8 will be able to handle a huge number of tasks easily.

The use of the Snapdragon 835 chip also means that Samsung’s newest device will come with Quick Charge 4.0 charging technology, which allows devices to charge up to 20 per cent faster than before.

However the reports would be bad news for other Android devices makers such as LG and HTC, which would doubtlessly have been hoping to use the Snapdragon 835 to power their newest flagship devices.

Expectation is continuing to ramp up for the device as the company looks to bounce back from the embarrassment of the Galaxy Note 7.

Reports earlier this week claimed that the design of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is nearly complete, with the company now finalising the specs and design of the device, and even sending a prototype of the final phone to the CEO and Vice Chairman for approval.

Samsung has delayed the launch from its usual late February date in order to ensure that the device is fully ready – as well as ensuring it secures the attention of the world’s media.

Other reports have claimed that Samsung has decided to scrap plans to use a dual-camera system on the Galaxy S8 due to high costs associated with the technology.

As for software, the Galaxy S8 is expected to ship with Google’s last Android Nougat operating system, putting it right at the forefront of the market.

But Samsung will also be keen to include some of its own tools and features, with the Galaxy S8 set be the first phone to ship with the company’s clever new virtual assistant, purportedly dubbed Bixby.

The virtual assistant was created by Viv Labs, the team that created Siri before it was acquired by Apple for use in the iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Bixby will reportedly be able to use the cameras on the Samsung Galaxy S8 to scan your surroundings, surfacing useful information about what it is looking at.

According to SamMobile, Samsung will include a Bixby button within its camera app that immediately launches a search function.

This will allow the Samsung Galaxy S8 to identify the objects it is pointed at – and will be able to direct you to online retailers where you can buy the item using Samsung Pay.
