Google recently introduced a new feature which allows Android users to locate their missing Android phone or tablet from a desktop computer by simply using “Google Search”.
So, if the pesky phone is hiding nearby, Google can ring it for you — or you can see it on the map if you, say, forgot it at the bar.
STEPS
Step 1: Sign in to google.com on PC using the same google account you are using on the missing Android device
Step 2: Now type in ‘find my phone’ in the Google Search bar on your PC web browser.
Wait for few seconds as Google attempts to find the location of the phone. The location will be displayed on the map within few seconds if your internet connection is OK.
If the device is nearby, you can also opt to ring your cell.
Unfortunately, you can’t use this trick to lock or erase your device if stolen — you will still need Android Device Manager to do that.
