Slingshot, an app from Facebook Creative Labs is simply a mobile video/photo sharing application for Android and iOS which you can use to share everyday moments with lots of people at once.
The app lets you shoot a photo or video then, sling it to a bunch of friends but the deal is that friends won’t be able to see your shot until they sling something back and you can react to a shot in an instant.
How To Use Slingshot App
To get started, you will have to download Slingshot from Google Play store or from iTunes App Store.
Once installed, launch it and follow the basic instructions. You will be prompted to create an account or sign in with your phone number. You can enter any phone number of yours but ensure it’s one which you have access to because a confirmation code will be sent to the phone number.
Once verified, you will be prompted to enter your unique username and full name. Thereafter, you might be prompted to add people to sling with, using Facebook, your phone contacts or sms invitation.
The slingshot camera will launch for you to use it to take a shot or record a video. You can tap to take a shot; press and hold to record a video. Tapping “selfie” will enable the selfie mode.
After shooting, you can tap to add text or draw on the shot. You can also reshoot if not satisfied. Once satisfied, tap USE, select friends you want to share with and tap SLING.
That’s all.
You can go to www.sling.me for updates on the slinghot app as well as a promotional video sharing how the service works.
