It was earlier announced that the Huawei P40 Series was coming in March but no specific date was announced. Now the datwe has been set and the launch is scheduled to happen on March 26. The date was confirmed by Richard Yu at the Mate Xs launch event on February 24.
Leaks have shown that there will be three P40 models which will include a P40 Premium, a P40 Pro and a Vanilla P40.
The P40 Premium will come with a a five-camera array headlined by a 10x optical zoom periscope telephoto lens.
The P40 Pro will have a 125mm telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom alongside a 52MP main camera, a 40MP cine shooter and an 8MP telephoto module.
The Vanilla P40 will come with a 3x optical zoom periscope with the same three other cameras as the Pro model.
Rumor has it that the phones will have Wi-Fi 6+ connectivity, which in theory can hit speeds of up to 1,200 Mbps. The P40 series will also have dual-mode 5G connectivity. More information will be updated here in the coming weeks.
