The Tecno Spark 5 budget smartphone was launched last month and now the company has added a new member to the Spark lineup, that bears the name; Tecno Spark Power 2.
The Tecno Spark Power 2 comes powered with the Helio P22 SoC, runs Android 10-based HiOS 6.1 and has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage onboard. A dedicated microSD card slot, which allows storage expansion by up to 256GB exists in the phone’s build.
The Spark Power 2 features a 7-inch 20.5:9 display of 1640×720-pixel resolution, with a notch sitting at the top of the display for the 16MP selfie camera. The rear is graced by a quad camera setup aligned vertically in the top-left corner, which is a combination of a 16MP main, 5MP super wide (115° FOV) and 2MP macro units. The fourth module is described as AI Lens which helps with the bokeh effect.
A fingerprint reader with dual function as a camera shutter button also sits at the rear. It lets you perform other functions like dismissing alarms and receiving and recording calls.
The Tecno Spark Power 2 comes the 3.5mm headphone jack, Dirac-powered dual speaker for stereo sound, and a Smart Key to accessing the Google Assistant.
A 6,000 mAh battery which charges through a microUSB port at up to 18W powers the phone’s entire system. Pricing is set at INR9,999 ($130/€115), with the color options Ice Jadeite and Misty Grey available. Sales will begin in India by June 23 through Flipkart.
