Huawei is working on its next line of flagship devices and the Huawei P40 Pro is one of them.
The Huawei P40 Pro is alleged to no longer have a notch but a pill-shaped punch hole in its display. The screen will be more curved on the sides than the P30 Pro’s, and will also slightly curve at the top and bottom. Based on size the P40 Pro is expected to be very similar to the P30 Pro.
Concerning the cameras, the P40 Pro is expected to arrive with a 52 MP main sensor unit which will output 13 MP photos by using a quad-bayer filter. The sensor pixel size is 0.96μm, which means the 13 MP shots will have an effective pixel size of 1.92μm, which is definitely big. For reference, the 48 MP quad-bayer sensors that are everywhere these days have 1.6μm effective pixel size when binning occurs (and 0.8μm sensor pixel size).
All of these are just rumors for now, but we expect to find out more about the device soon. The Huawei P40 Pro will be unveiled in Paris sometime in march.
