“Microsoft Selfie” is Microsoft’s Selfie app for iOS which smoothens out your selfie with a touch of a button. It’s a more subtle version of Lumia Selfie, Microsoft’s previous self-portrait app designed for Windows phones.
The photo enhancement app can remove blemishes, wrinkles, scars, etc. after you take a picture using the app or if you select a photo from your photo library.
Backed by computer vision technology, Microsoft Selfie intelligently considers age, gender, skin tone, lighting, and many other variables all with one click. Users can transform average photos into enhanced, ideal portraits in seconds.
In dim light condition, the app would automatically enable “Denoise” mode, and effectively reduce noise by using burst shots. When “Denoise” mode is enabled, you can see “Denoise” on the screen. You can disable “Auto Denose” via the App settings.
There are 13 filter options that can enhance your photo, as well as add a distinct flavor to the photo in line with names like “1965”, “jefe”, “Wonka” and “BlueDawn.” There is also a black and white filter tagged “Inky”. You can apply any of the filters to existing photos in your library as well as stuff you shoot on the fly.
There’s a slider that you can use to adjust exactly how much processing the app will apply to the final photo before saving it to your camera roll. You can also press and hold on the “compare” button to see your lesser, non-algorithmically enhanced self.
The Microsoft selfie app supports selfie stick and also allows you to share your selfie on Facebook or to other third-party apps like WhatsApp, Viber, Gmail, etc.
How To Use Microsoft Selfie App
==> Open the app
==> Take Photo or Select Photo
==> Tap “Use Photo” after taking photo with the camera. Thereafter, the app will automatically enhance the photo which will trigger an animation sound effect.
If you select a photo from your library, the app will auto enhance it too.
Once satisfied, hit save and share with your loved ones.
NB: You can disable the sound effect of the Microsoft Selfie app via settings.
